I noticed this ampersand on a small brass tag tacked to a wooden swing at my in-laws.
The swing, is at least from the early 1960s, once belonged to my mother. I spent many a mild summer afternoon escaping reality by reading on the swing on our front porch on North Walnut Street, Lewistown. Photo by Terri Lukens-Gable.

A quick search online turned this up:
Keystone Gazette December 18, 1903, page 8
“The Bullock Swing & Chair Manufacturing Co., of Milesburg, of which Ralph Spigelmyer of Bellefonte, is the business manager, will have a large display at the World's Fair at St. Louis next summer. The expenses will run $2,000 to $2,500. The booth alone cost $1,000. It comes high but we must have it.”
